Muhandas is a lyricist, musician and performer. He has pioneered Arabic battle-rap in the Levant through his work in The Arena, which was documented in the “El Arena” documentary film, licensed to Al Jazeera.

In recent years, Muhandas has shifted from the use of the Arabic word towards -attempting- to carve a new sound within the Arab sound-space. A sound that does not need to be legitimated by melancholia through sampling the past; a sound that is self-aware to its -and the culture’s- shortcomings.
